Jennifer Davis - Star of Covent Garden

Today we send our congratulations and love to the wonderful JENNIFER DAVIS who last night opened at Covent Garden in the role of Elsa in Wagner's "Lohengrin"
Jennie sang her first operatic role, Susanna in "le Nozze di Figaro'"with Glasthule Opera in 2012. Two years ago she made a flying visit home to sing at our sold-out Gala.
Well done, Jennie and thank you for being the lovely girl that you are. You so deserve your great success which was achieved by your incredible talent,hard work and dedication.

The casts are gathering from far and near to embark on an intense rehearsal period and present this year's stunning TRIPLE BILL of opera in less than three weeks!!

Favourite singers return for TRIPLE BILL in September

Back for an evening of fun-filled opera are  SARAH  POWER    BRENDAN  COLLINS     
OWEN GILHOOLY and  RAPHAELA  MANGAN   who will be joined by our opera stars of the future   Soprano  SARAH  SHINE  and  Tenor  CONOR  BREEN with
Conductor  DAVID  BROPHY and  Director  HELENE  MONTAGUE who also wrote the new English libretto for Offenbach's hilarious comedy about a lottery ticket-  the rarely performed 
"Le 66".  Look forward also to a quartet of singing bridge players in Samuel Barber's tiny opera  "A HAND OF BRIDGE".  Completing an evening of non-tragic opera Wolf-Ferrari's 
"Susanna's Secret"unfolds an unusual secret with some sparkling music and virtuoso singing.

Full House for Opera Gala

Last night at Pavilion Theatre was marvellous! Such wonderful singing from Owen Gilhooly,
John Molloy, Peter O'Reilly, Katy Kelly, Raphaela Mangan, Kellie Lonergan with Gillian Williams whose violin sang out some of the beautiful melodies and Mairead Hurley who made the Steinway sound like an orchestra. A huge THANKS to them all.

Cast Complete

Great news!! Our favourite Bass Baritone JOHN MOLLOY completes the cast on June 7th. Last heard in Glasthule Opera as Sarastro in our 2011 Magic Flute we welcome him back. His hilarious performance here as the lecherous priest in "The Wandering Scholar" is also well remembered!!
